Let us introduce ourselves and let you know what we do here at the ranch
Welcome to P & D Boer Goats. We have been raising Boer goats since 1999. Currently we have approximately 60 breeding head of Boer does along with three breeding bucks. We began in percentages and have since developed to a herd of full blood traditionals, blacks, and reds. Here at P & D Boer Goats we concentrate on high quality fullblood bloodlines. Our does come from an elite group of Ennobled goats such as: Sumo, Eggsfile, Rambo, SKF 42, Kaptein, Codi’s Renoir, Tsjaka, Pipeline, Magnum, Sir Edmund, Downen’s Big 85, Lobola, Top Brass, Ty, Mojo Magic, Frances, Top Gun 2, ESP, Sasquatch, Eggspensive, Starski, and Splash of Classic.
We have a very strict set of guidelines that each doe must achieve. We weigh each kid at birth. They must gain sufficient weight at weaning or we cull the doe. We also cull does that produce improper teat structure along with bites, horn set, and pasturing. We feel by doing this we are better able to produce a correct, sound, fast growing kid. Our kids that are produced are of show quality and of sound breeding stock.
Currently we are trying to develop some of the best black and red Boer goats in the country.
Here at P & D Boers we are always striving to better enhance the genetics of our herd. We believe in quality and not quantity.
